Why are you so avoidant of unpleasant realism with regard to timelines & ages?

Well, the Sims 2 is really not a game of unpleasant realism so I don’t feel obligated to make it so. I’m guessing you’re referring to me avoiding having a middle-aged man kiss a teenage girl? I’ve never seen anyone play that “weird” memory straight because it’s assumed to be an error, usually just ignored entirely. Unpleasant realism could make for a very interesting story, but it’s not one that I would want to write and it’s not one that I could write well. It’d be like if Disney tried to adapt Lolita.

Ask me any Sim or story-related questions, but please keep it in moderately good taste!
