Answer:
I absolutely do not dislike this fandom or any of the people in it, or anyone who adheres to the storylines how Maxis intended, or the idea of fanon in general. In fact, I think a lot of fanon has been done so well that I feel insecure about trying the same thing. I adore some fanon takes on characters.
There are some fanon themes/ideas that I dislike because I find them to be misogynistic or problematic in some way, but that’s not the fandom’s fault, it’s society/culture. And the Maxis stories do indeed promote some of that, but in this game you don’t have to go along with it.

Day 9: Hanging out with friends
Happy Holidays from the Specter family.
Here’s the colored version. I just sort of experimented with Illustrator to do it.
I think she at least looks more like herself than the recreations I’ve tried to do with TS3. Nina’s features are kind of cat-like, I think? Her nose kind of reminds me of the Na’vi aliens from Avatar.
Nina and Dina actually don’t look much alike to me, other than the eyes and face-shape. Certainly not as much as Cassandra/Kaylynn or Bella/Jennifer Burb or really any of the face 2/face 1 based premades look alike.

I’m starting to become attached to this idea, maybe even as a side project like the horror posters.
I’m picturing several different ads starring the girls. Servo would make a cameo as something they could suggestively use those products for. (Tune up joke?) I’m also picturing one with Nina choosing a screwdriver over Don that reads “This tool won’t disappoint you” or something like that.
I would need to crowdsource for every hand tool related double entendre in the entire world.
No full Halloween post this year because I’ve been busy with the chapter, but hopefully you guys enjoy these.
